About Me
I started teaching in Catholic Schools in 1992. My first class was third graders! I took several years off to raise my boys, Cameron and Patrick. Cameron is 23 and just graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Patrick is 21 and will be a junior at UW-Platteville. I went back to teaching when they were in Kindergarten and second grade. I was an Assistant Principal for five years, and a Principal at St Helen in Chicago for the past two before coming up to SJB. My sweet spot is junior high--I love that age!
I have a particular love for the Saint, Mary. As the mother of two rambunctious sons, I found myself praying to her a LOT as they were growing up and asking for her guidance as a mom. I pray the Rosary often as a special devotion, too.
In my spare time, I love to read, take walks, go out with friends, bake--I have a wicked sweet tooth and never met a cupcake I didn't like. Being from Chicago, I am looking forward to the peace and quiet of a smaller town.
