Library Services

Each child at St. John the Baptist School has the opportunity to check out books from our large selection of fiction, non-fiction and biographies. Younger students visit the school library weekly for storytime, while older students participate in a novel study.

Students also attend a weekly computer/keyboarding class in the library area where they learn typing skills and participate in digital citizenship lessons. Students are taught how to use the internet safely and how to research data effectively. Voluntary book clubs are offered for those interested in participating.

Our library provides a creative learning environment that encourages students to have an appreciation of literature, develop a love for reading and demonstrate digital citizenship. The library partners with teachers to best meet the needs of all students, and to support their current classroom curriculum.
